Court of Honor

What is it?
A Court of Honor is the ceremony where scouts are awarded any advancements, Merit Badges, or other special awards that they have earned since the last Court of Honor.  A Scout's first Court of Honor after they enter the Troop (generally in March) includes a special investiture ceremony to commemorate their induction into the Troop.  It's a special program, so don't miss it!

When is it?
Troop 186 holds Courts of Honor quarterly in March, June,  September, and December, usually on the last Monday of the month.  Courts of Honor start at 7:30pm, half an hour after the normal Troop meeting time.  Invitations to the Court of Honor are generally sent out a couple of weeks before the event with any additional details.

Who should come?
Scouts should bring their parents and any one else they would like to share in their awards.

What should I wear?
This is a formal ceremony and Scouts should wear their class "A" uniform with their Merit Badge sash (if they have one).  Mom's should wear their Mom's pin ribbon.  Mom's of first year scouts will get their ribbon at their first Court of Honor.
