Family Canoe Campout

At 6:00 P.M. Friday the 20th, we left from Lenexa Methodist Church to go to Roach Missouri for the family canoe trip. We got there at nearly 10:00 P.M. and set up our things. The next morning we got up and had breakfast and got in a couple vans to go up the river to canoe. It took a good 30 minutes to get there. Then we got the canoes from the back of the trailer. Then we were off. When we were 1/3 the way to our campground, we got to have lunch. After lunch the parents talked, and most of the kids swam. Then we proceeded back to our campground. In the river, there were some places that we had helped our boat get across an area. There also was a rope swing that some people went on. When we got back to the campsite at 5:00 P.M., we all got dried off and put on our clothes. Then we made our food to eat. After that the troop made dump cake, and donuts. Mr. Wilson sang and played his guitar, and other people fished or played cards. Then we went to bed. The next morning we got up, ate, packed our bags, and left.
