Summer Camp 2007 will be July 29-August 4,
2007 at Camp Friedlander! Contact
Brent
Woods for more information.
Some comments found online was
that Friedlander got exceptional comments, praising the camp, the food, the
program and the facilities.
Cost are being worked out, but it will certainly be less than the
Yellowstone summer camp due to the shorter trip time. A preliminary cost
will be determined before signup starts next year.
Here are some features of Camp Friedlander:
- Located outside of Cincinnati, OH
- 610 miles from Lenexa or 9 hours away
- Camp has been renovated in 2000
- Located around an 18 acre lake
- Offers over 45 merit badges
- Has a Olympic size swimming pool
- Camp has 5 separate shower houses with flushable toilets and
separate shower stalls; close to campsite
- Dining hall is air-conditioned
- Each campsite has its own covered shelter with picnic table
- Camp provides their own canvas tents on pallets
- Older scouts have programs that include mountain biking,
canoeing, backpacking, caving, scuba, snorkeling and rappelling
While it is still early in the summer camp planning stages, we wanted
you to know these camp dates for your family's planning.
